Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her estranged husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, are going their separate ways, and Anderson is sharing his thoughts on what led to their unexpected split.
In a recent interview with E! News, Anderson, 37, expressed his belief that outside influences played a significant role in the breakdown of their relationship. “I have some ideas,” he said, suggesting that people in Blanchard’s inner circle may have interfered. “It’s like her mind would just run rampant whenever I went to work,” Anderson added, still perplexed as to how their marriage unraveled so swiftly.
The couple tied the knot in 2022 while Blanchard was serving time in prison for her involvement in the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. However, their fairytale romance came to an abrupt end when Blanchard filed for divorce in April 2024, followed by a request for a restraining order just days later. She clarified to Us Weekly that the restraining order pertained solely to finances and was not a no-contact order.
Blanchard has since rekindled her relationship with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker, but she maintains that he was not the reason for her divorce. Instead, she attributes it to underlying insecurities and the realization that their feelings for each other had persisted.
The intricacies of Blanchard and Anderson’s marriage are now being unveiled in Lifetime’s docuseries, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up. In the premiere episode, Anderson acknowledged the challenges they faced, expressing his hope for their marriage to succeed despite the odds.
As their story unfolds, viewers can tune in to new episodes of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, airing on Lifetime on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET, to witness the aftermath of their split and the impact of those “outside influences.”
