If I Ruled the World: Travis Kelce’s Presidential Plans

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce shared his lighthearted vision for his hypothetical presidency during the team’s visit to the White House. While Kelce has never expressed political aspirations, he took the opportunity to joke about his plans if he ever became the leader of the United States.

During their visit, Kelce was called up by President Joe Biden to speak at the podium with the official seal. In a TikTok recorded at the event, Kelce addressed the crowd with a playful “my fellow Americans!” before sharing that the Secret Service had mentioned the possibility of tasering him. He quickly retreated to join his teammates after this playful introduction.

When asked by his teammate, Joshua Williams, what he would do as President, Kelce revealed he would take Air Force One to Hawaii for a vacation. In true team spirit, he added that his teammates would join him, exclaiming, “A squad! I think we can all fit on there.”

While Kelce did not mention whether his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, would be part of this squad, his response certainly showcases his playful personality and team-oriented mindset.

Williams also asked other members of the Chiefs about their hypothetical presidential plans. Head Coach Andy Reid shared that he would have included Monte Cristo sandwiches at the team’s White House buffet, while defensive lineman George Karlaftis said he would fly his family over from Greece to spend time with them at the White House.

As the Kansas City Chiefs aim for a historic three-peat championship run this upcoming season, Kelce’s leadership and playful spirit will undoubtedly play a significant role in their journey.
