Dakota Fanning stepped out in style for her latest red carpet appearance.
The acclaimed actress, who recently revealed that former co-star Tom Cruise has sent her a pair of shoes every year on her birthday since they filmed War of the Worlds nearly two decades ago, attended the premiere of the Hulu docuseries Mastermind: To Think Like A Killer in New York City.
The Hulu production premiered at the SVA Theater in Manhattan on Friday, June 7, as part of the 2024 Tribeca Festival, which kicked off two days prior.
Fanning, 30, looked elegant in a long black skirt and an off-white blouse with a wrap-around design and a delicate bow-tie detail at the waist.

She paired the monochrome look with black open-toe heels and styled her blonde hair straight, with a center part, flowing over her chest and down her back.
Fanning served as an executive producer on the project alongside her sister, Elle Fanning, and director Abigail Fuller.
Mastermind: To Think Like A Killer is a captivating true crime docuseries that centers on the groundbreaking work of Dr. Ann Burgess, a specialist in the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit who revolutionized the way authorities investigate serial murders.
Dr. Burgess, who joined Fanning at the premiere, took a unique approach to stopping serial killers by first learning to think like them while also studying the complex psyches of both victims and perpetrators.
In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, the Fanning sisters expressed their admiration for Dr. Burgess, stating that the docuseries allowed them to “create space for an unsung female hero to tell her story for the first time.”
They further praised the series, saying, “It’s deeply empathetic towards victims and their loved ones, a real journey through the lens of the psychology of profiling, and ultimately a galvanizing message.”

Dr. Burgess, 87, a professor at the William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College, looked radiant on the red carpet, donning black pants and a top with a white blazer featuring black pinstripes.
Fanning and Dr. Burgess posed together with Fuller, and the trio was later joined by executive producers Ross M. Dinerstein, Rebecca Evans, Rebecca Halpern, Leslie Chilcott, and Dani Sloane for a group photo.
