Portman, who shares her children with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied, showcased her toned legs in a pair of high-waisted denim shorts. She paired the shorts with a black tank top featuring a lace trim and slipped into a pair of open-toed Birkenstock sandals.

The Oscar winner’s dark locks cascaded down her shoulders in natural waves, and she donned a pair of stylish black shades to protect her eyes from the California sun. She was also spotted sipping on a cold root beer from Boylan Bottling Company to stay refreshed.

Portman has previously spoken about how becoming a mother has helped her appreciate beauty more. In an interview with Elle UK, she explained that taking care of herself and engaging in beauty rituals is a way for women to pamper and take care of each other.
