Brooke Shields is set to release her new book, “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts on Aging as a Woman,” in January 2025. The 59-year-old actress shared the cover of her book on Instagram, revealing the title and release date to her fans. Shields expressed her excitement, saying, “I hope this book can help start a conversation about how midlife can be the prime of life… full of possibilities and excitement.”
In her book, Shields dives into the idea that women in midlife are in control of their own lives and stories. She uses research, reporting, and personal anecdotes to provide an optimistic outlook on aging. Shields said, “I hope this book can help start a conversation that benefits us collectively. Midlife can be the prime of life – it’s filled with so many more possibilities than we’ve been led to believe.”
The book cover unveiling comes after Shields’ recent appearance at the Tony Awards, where she wore a bright yellow gown with matching Crocs. The actress had surgery on her toes on both feet, requiring her to wear non-conventional red carpet footwear.
Shields has been open about her experiences with aging and has found a new perspective with time. She has been famous since childhood and has appeared on Broadway several times, including in productions of “Wonderful Town,” “Chicago,” “Cabaret,” “Grease,” and “The Addams Family.”
Looking forward to defining her own midlife journey, Shields still has a passion for theater and would love to star in a comedy-drama production.
