James Ward-Prowse Set to Depart West Ham on Loan
After joining West Ham last summer, midfielder James Ward-Prowse is reportedly set to leave the club on loan, with Nottingham Forest emerging as his likely destination.
Ward-Prowse, who made 52 appearances and scored seven goals for the Hammers last season, has fallen down the pecking order under new head coach Julen Lopetegui, playing just 16 minutes in the opening two league games.
The England international’s lack of playing time has led to speculation about his future, and according to a loan deal is in place between West Ham and Forest.
West Ham have already strengthened their midfield this summer with the signing of Guido Rodriguez from Real Betis, which has pushed Ward-Prowse further down the pecking order.

The same publication claims West Ham are in talks with PSG over a move for Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler. Ward-Prowse would become Forest’s 10th summer signing, which includes midfielders Elliot Anderson and Marko Stamenic.
Despite playing regularly last season, Ward-Prowse failed to add to his 11 England caps this summer, missing out on a place in the Euro 2024 squad.
