The writing seems to be on the wall for the Denver Broncos, who are likely to name Bo Nix as their starting quarterback sooner rather than later.
Nix’s entry into the league was met with a mix of opinions, with some highlighting his strengths and others pointing out his weaknesses from his college days at Auburn.
However, after transferring to Oregon, he showed significant improvement, and his impressive preseason performances have silenced many of his doubters.
In fact, Pro Football Focus gave him the highest grade among rookie quarterbacks in Week 2, with an impressive score of 85.8.

In the Broncos’ 27-2 victory over the Green Bay Packers, Nix was poised, accurate, and in complete control of the offense.
He completed eight of nine passes for 80 yards and a touchdown, while also scrambling for an additional 12 yards on three attempts.
More importantly, he demonstrated excellent decision-making, hitting his receivers in stride and going through his progressions with ease.
It’s clear that Coach Sean Payton is grooming him to be the team’s leader, and it’s hard to imagine anyone else in the quarterback room surpassing him.
Nix boasts a strong arm, impressive speed, and athleticism, making him an ideal fit for Payton’s offense.
It’s only a matter of time before the Broncos officially announce what everyone already suspects: Bo Nix will be their starting quarterback.
