Tom Brady has identified the NFL teams that pose the biggest threat to the Kansas City Chiefs’ historic three-peat bid.
Patrick Mahomes and his teammates are aiming to win an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl when the new NFL season kicks off on September 5.
Andy Reid’s team, which also includes Travis Kelce, has won three Super Bowls since 2020 and will be among the top contenders again this season.
The Chiefs have defeated the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles in the past two showpieces, but there are threats to their crown everywhere in the NFL.
Brady, who has been linked with a shock return to the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, sat down with Stephen A. Smith on Monday and was asked to pick who he thinks could dethrone the Chiefs this season.
Tom Brady has named which NFL teams pose the biggest threat to the Kansas City Chiefs
Brady was first asked to name who he thought could topple the Chiefs in the AFC and picked two strong contenders.
He said: ‘I would say it’s, man all those teams are going to be tough, I think it’s still the Bills or the Bengals because of their quarterback play.’
Asked about the Ravens, Brady responded: ‘They are right up there. They are exceptional the Ravens just have to do more in the postseason for me to feel like ‘okay, they are right there.’
‘The Bengals have made it to a Super Bowl. The Bills have been in championship games.’
Brady was then asked who is the biggest threat to the Chiefs across the entire NFL.
He responded: ‘I think it’s still probably the 49ers and the Packers, I think, are going to be a great team.’
‘I think the Rams are going to be a good team, too. Very good offense, receiving corps. They lost Aaron Donald, nobody can replace him but they’ve drafted really well, got a really underrated defense. I think that’s going to be a team to watch, too.’

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers also looked impressive during the postseason
Mahomes will need to have another imperious season if the Chiefs are to have any chance of winning another Super Bowl.
Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner and arguably the NFL’s greatest-ever quarterback, insisted the Chiefs star is still the best in the league.
‘In my opinion, he’s the best quarterback in the NFL,’ Brady said.
‘I could talk about his physical skills, but do you know why I look at him and I say he’s great?’
‘I see the way that he’s endeared himself to his teammates. I see the joy they have when they’re out there playing together… I’m listening to the press conferences as much as I’m watching him throw a tight spiral.’
‘That’s ultimately what [the quarterback] position is about.’
