Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end, has undergone a noticeable transformation in his appearance, and his teammate Patrick Mahomes believes it’s all thanks to Taylor Swift.
Kelce started dating Swift last year, and the couple made headlines when she attended a Chiefs game in his suite, accompanied by his mom Donna. Now, as the Chiefs prepare for the new NFL season, Mahomes has revealed how Swift may have influenced Kelce’s style.
In an interview with NFL Radio, Mahomes said, “You got the old man (Kelce). I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out, and all of a sudden, Taylor gets him to do it.” Kelce has indeed been sporting slightly longer hair and a moustache in recent Chiefs training camp.

The Swifties were quick to react to Mahomes’ comment on social media, with one fan saying, “I too would do anything Taylor asked.” Another fan replied, “Pat is so random! That had nothing to do with what they were talking about, but he is giving the people what they want.”
The Chiefs begin their new season on September 5 with a blockbuster opening game against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium. No team has ever three-peated before in NFL history, meaning Mahomes and Kelce have a huge opportunity ahead of them.
“It wasn’t like we have talked about it openly, but after the Super Bowl (this year in Vegas) you saw that we have got to go and do it,” Mahomes added. “But since we’ve gotten back, it’s just football. I mean, we know what the process is – the day-by-day process of just getting better.”

Mahomes was even caught on camera breaking up a minor brawl between a couple of Chiefs players on Tuesday. He joked about Kelce being “the old man” given he is one of the older players in the team at age 34.
Kelce signed a new two-year Chiefs contract in the offseason, worth around $17 million a year, to remain in Kansas City for what will almost certainly be the rest of his career.
