The age-old debate has finally been put to rest, or has it? Two of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, have weighed in on who they think are the best quarterbacks in the league.
During a recent fan event in New York, Brady and Manning were asked to rank their top 5 quarterbacks. And, as expected, their lists didn’t exactly align.
Brady, never one to shy away from an opinion, started off by naming Patrick Mahomes as the best quarterback in the league. “He’s consistently impressive,” Brady said of the Kansas City Chiefs star. Next on his list were Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, two of the most dynamic players in the game.
“I think, consistently, the guys that I see… I see Josh Allen as someone who always impresses me as a player. I see Lamar Jackson, who always impresses me as a player.”
Brady then took a moment to collect his thoughts before naming Joe Burrow as his fourth pick. “I think that some different guys probably have different moments, but Joe Burrow is very impressive with how he throws the ball and leads the team. Again, another guy who’s got a great connection with his teammates.”

Manning, not one to be outdone, also named Mahomes as his top pick. But unlike Brady, he chose Joe Burrow as his second pick, citing his impressive leadership skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
“I’m a big fan of Joe Burrow. I’m glad to see him back healthy. I like the way he carries himself. I like his demeanor out there. He doesn’t sweat. He doesn’t flinch. He’s just kind of calm and cool the whole time.”
Manning’s third pick was Justin Herbert, the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback, who he praised for his incredible arm talent. Rounding out his list were Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, two of the most dynamic players in the league.
