Gridiron Guru Foresees Next Season’s Biggest Bust

Stephen A. Smith Predicts the WORST Team in the NFL Next Season

Renowned sports analyst Stephen A. Smith has made a bold prediction, stating that the Pittsburgh Steelers could be one of the worst teams in the NFL next season, with “last place written all over them.”

Smith’s comments came after the Steelers’ dismal 9-3 preseason defeat by the Buffalo Bills, in which quarterback Russell Wilson struggled, completing just eight of 10 passes for 47 yards and taking three sacks during five scoreless series.

The Steelers’ offense, with many new components, including offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, and rookie center Zack Frazier, has yet to gel, according to Smith.

With less than three weeks until their season-opener against the Atlanta Falcons, Smith believes the Steelers are heading for a miserable season.

Speaking on Monday’s episode of First Take, Smith expressed his disappointment with the Steelers’ performance, stating, “The Steelers looked awful offensively. They looked absolutely awful. I’m very, very disgusted by what I saw.”

Smith was particularly critical of Wilson’s performance, saying, “You’re still holding onto the ball for too long. I’m not enthused. I know the AFC North is no joke. I’m looking at (Joe) Burrow, Lamar Jackson, I see what Deshaun Watson’s got.”

Smith concluded, “I’ve never said this before because I believe in Mike Tomlin so much. But the Steelers have last place written all over them. I don’t see how they get out of this.”

Steelers fans were equally unimpressed with Wilson’s performance, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment.

One fan tweeted, “I’m starting to think Russell Wilson was the problem.”

Another fan stated, “Russell Wilson in 5 drives vs. Buffalo: 47 yards, 3 sacks, 6 checkdowns, 0 points. MISSION FAILED WE’LL GET EM NEXT TIME BOYS.”

The Steelers have one more preseason game next weekend against the Detroit Lions, but it remains to be seen if they can turn their season around.
