Lawrence Taylor’s Felony Case Dismissed
Accusations of Failing to Register as Sex Offender Dropped
Lawrence Taylor‘s legal team has announced that the Hall of Famer’s felony case has been dropped, just a month after he was accused of failing to comply with the conditions of his sex offender registration.
According to Taylor’s attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, the decision was made by Broward County prosecutors on Wednesday, following a successful demonstration that the allegations against Taylor were baseless and stemmed from a bitter divorce battle with his estranged wife.
Eiglarsh expressed his gratitude towards the prosecutors, stating, “We are deeply grateful for the prosecutors in this case, ensuring that true justice was served.”
Taylor and Eiglarsh were photographed together, beaming with joy, following the news.
We have reached out to the prosecution for comment, but have yet to receive a response.
Taylor was initially arrested in mid-July after authorities claimed he had not lived at his registered address for several months, violating the terms of his sex offender registration. He pleaded not guilty to the charges, with Eiglarsh describing the situation as a “significant misunderstanding.”
It appears that the prosecutors were convinced by Eiglarsh’s argument, leading to the dismissal of the case.
