Travis Kelce, the NFL star known for his wholesome personality and charitable work, has been dubbed a “bad influence” by his teammate Patrick Mahomes. According to Mahomes, he can’t spend more than two days with Kelce, citing the tight end’s overindulgent behavior.

Mahomes made the revelation during an interview with former Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith on Sirius, where he explained that Kelce’s antics get him off his game. “He gets me off my game,” Mahomes said. “By Day 3, I’m like, I can’t be with him for more than two days.”

Although Mahomes didn’t elaborate on Kelce’s behavior, it’s likely that it’s related to the All Pro tight end’s partying habits. Kelce and Mahomes did take a vacation together this offseason with their significant others, Taylor Swift and Brittany, but Mahomes was noticeably absent from this year’s American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament at Lake Tahoe.

Mahomes said Kelce is a bad influence, but the two have taken trips together

As Mahomes explained, he’s been focusing on his golf game, and his goal is to take an offseason off from all the tournaments and come back next year with a vengeance. He’s built a Par 3 hole in his backyard, which has helped him improve his short game. However, he’s yet to hit a hole-in-one on that hole, despite hitting over a thousand golf balls.

Even Mahomes’ children are getting in on the golfing action, although they’re more interested in the sand trap. Mahomes has coaxed his daughter Sterling and son Bronze into competing against each other to retrieve golf balls, turning it into a fun game for the whole family.

Despite his concerns about Kelce’s influence, Mahomes is determined to turn his kids into legitimate golfers, with or without his wife Brittany’s approval. As for Kelce, it seems he’ll have to keep his partying habits in check if he wants to spend more than two days with Mahomes.
