Vikings’ Jordan Addison Faces Two Misdemeanor Charges Following DUI Arrest in Los Angeles
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has been charged with two misdemeanors following his arrest in Los Angeles last month on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
Addison, who was selected by the Vikings in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, was arrested on July 12 after being found asleep at the wheel of his vehicle, which was blocking the primary freeway offramp to LA International Airport. A half hour later, California Highway Patrol officers arrested the 22-year-old following a DUI investigation.
He was released from custody shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Now, Minnesota publication is reporting that Addison has been hit with two misdemeanor charges following the incident last month.

If convicted, Addison faces up to six months in jail and maximum fines of $2,000, while he could be suspended from driving for six months. Moreover, the NFL’s policy and program on substances of abuse states that players face a three-game ban for their first criminal offense regarding alcohol use.
Last July, before his rookie season, Addison was cited in Minnesota for speeding and reckless driving after being clocked going a reported 140 mph. However, the former Southern California college star was not charged with any alcohol or drug-related charges in that case, which could help him avoid a harsher punishment this time around.
After being selected 23rd overall in 2023, Addison hauled in 70 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, making the NFL All-Rookie team.

His arrest came eight days before Vikings rookie fourth-round pick Khyree Jackson was one of three people killed in a car crash in Maryland
The Vikings said at the time of his arrest last month: ‘We are aware of Jordan Addison’s arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident.’
Eight days before Addison was arrested, Vikings rookie fourth-round pick Khyree Jackson was one of three people killed in a car crash in Maryland. He was 24.
Addison had told fans not to play down Jackson’s talent before his tragic death, backing him to make headlines in Minnesota.
When asked which player fans should not ‘sleep on’ in the 2024-25 season, Addison told Metro Sport: ‘Khyree, the cornerback we just got. Don’t sleep on him.’
