Travis Kelce, the charismatic tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, has been making headlines both on and off the field. His high-profile relationship with global superstar Taylor Swift has been under the microscope, and their fans can’t get enough of them.
During a recent NFL practice session at the Chiefs’ training camp, Kelce was caught on camera tossing one of his gloves into the crowd. A young fan, donning a Swift-inspired outfit, caught the glove, much to the delight of the onlookers.
Kelce, 34, downplayed the incident, stating that it was simply a coincidence. “I wish it was as true as the video made it seem,” he said during a press conference. “I just threw it in the stands, but sometimes fate intervenes, and someone ends up getting a glove they didn’t expect.”
Kelce has been dating Swift, 34, since the summer of 2023. The couple has been going strong, with Swift supporting Kelce at multiple football games last season. In fact, Swift attended 13 of his games, showing her commitment to their relationship.
As Kelce gears up for his 12th NFL season, he’s focused on improving his personal goals and performance on the field. The Chiefs are hoping to secure their third consecutive Super Bowl win, and Kelce is determined to play a key role in that effort.
“I’m just happy to be in the NFL and doing what I love,” Kelce said with a grin. “Much love.”
Swift, too, has been vocal about her support for Kelce, stating in a recent interview with TIME that she’s proud to attend his games and show her love and admiration for him. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, and we’re showing up for each other,” she said.
With the NFL season just around the corner, it’s likely that Swift will be in attendance at the Chiefs’ home opener, which conveniently falls between her Eras concert stops.
