Former NFL defensive end Bobby McCray, a Super Bowl winner, has filed for divorce from his wife of 13 years, Khadijah Haqq, a close friend of reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
According to sources, McCray and Haqq agreed to separate last year, but McCray officially filed for divorce on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences. In the divorce documents, McCray lists the date of separation as July 7, 2023.
Haqq, who is known for her friendship with Kardashian, posted a cryptic message on her Instagram on Thursday, saying “The comeback is greater than the setback.” The couple met in a club and got married in 2010 in Los Angeles.

McCray and Haqq have three children together, and McCray is reportedly seeking joint legal and physical custody of their kids.
Last year, Haqq announced the split on social media, saying that she and McCray had “come to the intensely difficult conclusion that while we have a great deal of love for one another, it’s best we move forward, separately.”
McCray played seven seasons in the NFL as a defensive end and was a member of the New Orleans Saints team that won Super Bowl XLIV in 2010, defeating the Indianapolis Colts 31-17.
After playing college football for the Florida Gators, McCray was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Colts in 2008 and won the Super Bowl two years later in Miami.
