Foxes Mourn Loss of Beloved Gaffer Craig Shakespeare, Tributes Pour in from Leicester City and Beyond

The football community is mourning the loss of Craig Shakespeare, the former Leicester City manager who passed away on Thursday after a brave battle with cancer.

Shakespeare left an indelible mark on English football, and his passing has sparked an outpouring of tributes from clubs and individuals across the country.

During his playing career, Shakespeare represented several clubs, including Walsall, Sheffield Wednesday, West Brom, and Grimsby, between 1981 and 2000.

After hanging up his boots, Shakespeare transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant coach at several clubs, including West Brom, Leicester City, Hull City, Watford, Aston Villa, and Norwich City. He was famously part of Claudio Ranieri’s backroom staff when Leicester City won the Premier League title in 2016.

Shakespeare later succeeded Ranieri as Leicester City manager, leading the Foxes to a historic Champions League quarterfinal appearance.
