Jay Cutler
Selling Tennessee Home to Close Chapter on Marriage
Jay Cutler, the former NFL quarterback, has finally parted ways with the Tennessee home he shared with his ex-wife, Kristin Cavallari, according to real estate sources.
The massive property, which was originally listed for $11 million, was sold in an all-cash deal on Wednesday for $7.9 million, resulting in a significant loss for Cutler.
The 7-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 10,697 square foot home sits on more than 45 acres of land and features a gym, sauna, and a recently added pool house, making it a luxurious retreat.
Cutler and Cavallari originally purchased the property in 2018 for $4.23 million and later expanded the estate by buying an additional 35 acres for $1.2 million.
The house was heavily featured on the former couple’s E! reality series “Very Cavallari.” According to sources close to the couple, the house was awarded to Cutler in his divorce settlement with Cavallari, and it has been his primary residence since.
The couple’s divorce was highly publicized and contentious, with Cavallari accusing Cutler of withholding funds to prevent her from purchasing a new home. Cutler argued that their existing multiple properties made such a purchase unnecessary. The couple tied the knot in 2013 and filed for divorce in 2020.
The listing was held by Tim Thompson of Tim Thompson Premier Realtors and Marty Warren of Zeitlin Sotheby’s International Realty.
