Madelene Wright, 25, Abandons Football Career to Pursue New Ventures
OnlyFans sensation Madelene Wright has shockingly quit her football career at Leyton Orient after less than a year, hinting at a potential career change.
The 25-year-old winger had settled into life with the east London club, scoring on her debut and posting about rebuilding her career at the club just a few months ago. However, Wright has now decided to dramatically quit the club and is rumored to be eyeing up a new career path.
During her stint at Leyton Orient, Wright continued to release revealing photos of herself on OnlyFans. She may trade her future in football for a fresh start as a video game streamer.
Wright previously made headlines after being sacked by Charlton Athletic in 2020 for drinking champagne while driving. She then turned to selling subscription-based content on OnlyFans, earning almost £500,000 and changing her life.
The social media sensation has hinted that she may start streaming video games, posting on X (formerly Twitter) last month: “I wanna start streaming.” She then added: “Okay guys, I’m actually doing this. Let me know what games to get.”
Wright’s decision to quit football comes as a surprise, especially after she seemed to be settling into life with Leyton Orient. She posted on social media today: “To the club that supported me and allowed me to return to football after 4 years out I want to say a massive thank you. For myself, the hard work continues… Thank you O’s.”
Wright has hinted that she may trade her future in football for a fresh start as a video game streamer. The former Charlton player was dismissed after Snapchat videos showed her inhaling balloons at a party and swigging champagne at the wheel of her luxury Range Rover.
With her contract ripped up, she then turned to flogging subscription-based content and charged £24 a month, before making a short-lived comeback to the sport. Wright had insisted in 2022 that OnlyFans changed her life, with the money raked in from her content allowing her to travel the world and live extravagantly.
However, she has been the subject of unwanted headlines on several occasions. A clip purportedly showed Wright at a party with friends where multiple people were inhaling from balloons. She was also investigated by her former club Millwall after she filmed a friend holding a dog with its paws on the steering wheel of a moving vehicle in 2019.
Wright’s decision to quit football raises questions about her future career plans. Will she make a successful transition to video game streaming, or will she continue to make headlines for her controversial antics?
