Selena Gomez’s Boyfriend Benny Blanco Gets Seal of Approval from Wizards of Waverly Place Co-Star David Henrie

Selena Gomez’s boyfriend, Benny Blanco, has earned the stamp of approval from her Wizards of Waverly Place co-star, David Henrie. The 35-year-old actor has nothing but praise for the 36-year-old producer, calling him a “super cool dude” in a recent interview.
Henrie revealed that he and Blanco had their first sit-down hangout, and the Wizards star was left impressed. Blanco’s ability to order great Italian food, including “delicious” takeout, earned him bonus points in Henrie’s book.
“He orders great Italian food,” Henrie said, adding that Blanco introduced him to polenta bolognese, which he described as “adult baby food” due to its texture.

Gomez and Blanco’s relationship began as a friendship after working together on her songs “Same Old Love” and “Kill Em With Kindness” for her Revival album in 2015. Rumors of their romance started circulating in July 2023, and they officially confirmed their relationship in December 2023.
Meanwhile, Henrie and Gomez are both producers of the upcoming sequel, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, and will reprise their roles as Alex and Justin Russo respectively.

Speaking to Us Weekly in June, Henrie gushed over how great it was to be reunited with Gomez during filming.
“It was awesome. We didn’t want it to end. It was great,” Henrie said. “She’s so good. She has such a quick wit that’s only gotten stronger.”
Henrie teased what’s to come in the revival, telling Us, “We have a couple scenes that I think will choke up the original fan of the original show, and they’re really touching, and they went really well. So, I’m excited for you to see it.”
