Sabrina Carpenter’s Humbling Encounter with a TikToker

Sabrina Carpenter

Singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter was stopped on the streets of New York City for an impromptu interview, but the TikToker conducting it seemed unaware of her fame.

In a video, Carpenter, 25, walked down the sidewalk, waving to fans as the TikToker, Judi Jupiter, followed behind her, capturing the interaction on camera.

When Jupiter asked Carpenter her name, the singer replied, “Sabrina. What’s your name?” Instead of introducing herself, Jupiter requested that Carpenter greet her followers, which Carpenter happily obliged.

As the conversation continued, Carpenter inquired if Jupiter was “on live,” and Jupiter replied that she was streaming their interaction. Carpenter’s eyebrows rose in surprise, and she asked Jupiter about her account, which focuses on “really cool people” in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood.

Taylor Swift’s influence knows no bounds, and her opening acts are no exception. Just ask the lucky artists who were invited to share the stage with her on the Eras Tour; a year ago, many of them were up-and-coming performers playing small venues, and now they’re household names selling out massive arenas themselves. Move over Willy Wonka; being invited to open for Taylor Swift is the golden ticket to stardom.
