In a candid revelation, former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Graeme Souness shared the touching stories of his encounters with England football legend Bobby Moore in an Essex nightclub during his teenage years.
Souness, who was learning his trade at Spurs, would often spend his evenings out in London and Essex, despite having limited financial resources. During this time, he crossed paths with two World Cup winners who made a significant impact on his life.
One of them was Arsenal star Alan Ball Jr., who would buy him drinks and look after him on nights out. The other was the iconic Bobby Moore, a towering figure in English football.
Souness fondly remembers Moore’s kind nature and how he made him feel included as a young lad growing up in an unfamiliar place. “He was a special man,” Souness reflects.
