Anthony Gordon and Steven Gerrard Donate £10,000 Each to Southport Stabbing Victims
England and Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon has generously donated £10,000 to the victims of the devastating knife attack in Southport, which left three children dead and several others critically injured. Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has also pledged the same five-figure sum.
Merseyside-born Gordon has shown his support for the victims by donating to a GoFundMe account, which has now surpassed £60,000. A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder after the brutal attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport.
The tragic victims of the attack were six-year-old Bebe King, seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar. Eight other children suffered stab wounds, with five remaining in critical condition, along with two women who bravely tried to save them.

Gordon’s £10,000 donation is the highest received by the Southport Dance Group Emergency Fund, with Gerrard’s donation following shortly after. Both donations are the top sums on the GoFundMe page.
The pair’s generous gestures come as the community continues to mourn the loss of the three young victims. Investigations are ongoing to determine a motive behind the attacker’s actions.

Former Liverpool and England captain Gerrard is a legend in the city and made his donation just a day after his former club paid their respects in Southport. Robbie Fowler and Phil Thompson both attended the scene of the tragic incident and laid a wreath alongside representatives of Everton as the two clubs came together in a show of support.
Investigations remain ongoing to determine a motive behind the attacker’s actions. Chief Constable Serena Kennedy said in a statement: “Whilst these charges are a significant milestone within this investigation, this remains very much a live investigation and we continue to work with our partners from Lancashire Police and Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) to ensure we have as complete an understanding as possible of this matter.”

Our thoughts remain with the families of all of those affected by these harrowing events.
