WWE superstar Johnny Gargano is breathing a sigh of relief after a devastating fire ravaged his family’s Ohio restaurant, leaving the building in shambles.
Gargano took to social media to express his gratitude that his 82-year-old father, who has poured his heart and soul into the restaurant for nearly five decades, was not present during the blaze. “This is his life’s work,” Gargano wrote. “He has worked in that building every day for almost 50 years. I basically grew up there, and now it’s just gone. It’s extremely heartbreaking for my family.”
In the same post, Gargano shared a photo of the aftermath, revealing the extent of the destruction. The Cleveland Fire department also provided insight into the severity of the incident, revealing that 11 companies and nearly 50 firefighters were on the scene to battle the blaze.
The restaurant, which was featured on NXT television in 2019, was renowned for its authentic Italian spaghetti sauce and was voted as having one of the best pizzas in the Cleveland area. The eatery held a special place in Gargano’s heart, as it was a staple of his childhood and a symbol of his family’s hard work and dedication.
As Gargano navigates this difficult time, he can take comfort in knowing that his family is safe and that his wrestling career is thriving. He and his tag-team partner, Tommaso Ciampa, are currently reigning as WWE Tag Team Champions, marking Gargano’s first title win on the main roster.
Despite his professional success, Gargano’s priorities remain firmly rooted in his family, including his wife, Candice LeRae, and their 2-year-old son, Quill. The proud father often shares heartwarming moments with his little one on social media, showcasing the joys of parenthood.
