In a video filmed at a CarMax parking lot, Hammer explained that he’s been back in Los Angeles for a couple of weeks and plans to start his new year with a fresh slate – a new car, a new apartment, and a new life.

Hammer introduced his truck, which he’s owned for seven years, and shared fond memories of the road trips they’ve taken together. However, he admitted that the vehicle has become too expensive to maintain, with gas costs reaching $400 to $500 per month.

The actor has since purchased a new, “tiny” hybrid car, which he expects will significantly reduce his gas expenses. He joked that parking will also become easier with his new vehicle.

Hammer’s update comes after he appeared on the Painful Lessons podcast in June, where he spoke about being accused of rape in a case that ended in no charges in 2021. He expressed gratitude for the experience, saying it taught him valuable lessons and gave him a new perspective on life.

He also noted that it was the day before his birthday, and he wanted a fresh start. Then, he addressed his car and thanked it for accompanying him for seven years

Hammer reflected on the past year, saying he previously didn’t feel satisfied or happy with himself. However, he has since learned to appreciate the lessons he’s learned and the new perspective he’s gained.
