A host of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze this summer, with Manchester United and Tottenham leading the race for his signature.
Eze, who was named in England’s squad for Euro 2024, has a £60 million release clause in his current contract, plus additional add-ons worth around £8 million. The 23-year-old impressed last season, contributing 11 goals and four assists in 27 Premier League appearances, despite being limited by injuries.
According to reports, United see Eze as a potential marquee signing under their new regime, but they would likely need to sell players first to fund the move. On the other hand, Tottenham are in a stronger financial position and have already hosted Eze’s friends and family in their hospitality suite, giving them an advantage in the race for his signature.
Palace are keen to keep hold of Eze and his teammate Michael Olise, who also impressed last season. However, manager Ange Postecoglou has multiple areas he wants to strengthen and is reluctant to spend a significant portion of his budget on Eze. With interest from multiple clubs, the race to sign the talented forward is heating up ahead of the summer transfer window.
