Ex-BBC Star Jermaine Jenas Axed by TNT Sports Amid “Unseemly Conduct” Fallout

Jermaine Jenas will not be part of TNT Sports’ live coverage of Brighton against Manchester United, the broadcaster has confirmed.

The decision comes after the former Tottenham and Newcastle star was sacked from his £190,000 job by the BBC due to allegations of inappropriate behavior, including sending unsolicited texts to junior members of staff.

Jenas has denied any wrongdoing, saying on talkSPORT that “there are two sides to every story” and that he is seeking legal advice on the matter.

Jermaine Jenas will not appear on TNT Sports’ Premier League coverage this weekend

The 41-year-old was co-commentator for Liverpool’s 2-0 win at Brighton last Saturday, but will not be involved in any of TNT Sports’ coverage over the coming weeks.

According to reports, a female member of staff at the BBC claimed she received unsolicited communications via text from Jenas, and others have since come forward with similar allegations.

The messages are understood to have “horrified” the people who saw them, a source claimed.

Jenas’ wife, Ellie Penfold, is said to be supporting him amid the allegations.

Jenas has previously hosted the One Show and was a regular studio pundit for the BBC’s Euros coverage.

A giant poster featuring Jenas alongside BBC Sport colleagues Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, and Alex Scott was removed from Manchester’s Media City HQ on Thursday.

Jenas has denied any wrongdoing and is seeking legal advice on the matter. He has also been sacked from his role as a presenter on the One Show.

TNT Sports has confirmed that Jenas will not be part of their live coverage of Brighton against Manchester United.
