Euro Agony Fades: England’s Finest Reboot for EPL Glory

England’s Euro 2024 stars have returned to club training, marking the end of their summer break and the beginning of preparations for the new season.

The Three Lions’ heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Spain in the Euro 2024 final was still fresh in their minds, but they’ve been given extra time off by their clubs to rest and recharge.

On Sunday, Arsenal stars Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Aaron Ramsdale were spotted back at their London Colney training ground, joining up with their Gunners teammates who had been on the club’s pre-season tour of the US.

Rice, Saka, and Ramsdale were seen greeting their teammates as they returned, with Saka sharing a warm hug with manager Mikel Arteta.

The trio was put through fitness tests before heading out onto the training pitch, where they were joined by their Arsenal colleagues.

It was a similar story at Liverpool, where Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold reported for duty after their extra break.

Alexander-Arnold and Gomez were put through their paces via a variety of fitness tests to ensure they returned to training in the best possible shape.

Ivan Toney also returned to training at Brentford, where he received a standing ovation from the Bees’ coaching staff and teammates.

The six England players who returned will now increase their preparations for the new season, with Arsenal facing further pre-season friendlies against Bayer Leverkusen and Lyon at the Emirates.

Liverpool will take on both Sevilla and Las Palmas at Anfield ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

Arsenal kicks off the Premier League with a home game against Wolves, while Liverpool travels to newly-promoted Ipswich, with both teams playing on Saturday, August 17.
