Jinger Duggar and Husband Jeremy Vuolo Settle into New Home
Reality TV star Jinger Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, are gradually making themselves at home in their new residence. The couple, who relocated to their new property last month, are tackling various projects to make the old house feel like their own.
During a recent podcast episode, Duggar, 30, shared her thoughts on the experience, saying, “It’s been pretty good. We’re looking around and realizing how many things need to be done because it’s not a new house. It’s an old house, but it’s new for us.”
The house, which the couple describes as a fixer-upper, requires a significant amount of work to get it in shape. Duggar quipped, “There are lots of projects. We have a long list of things that need to be done, and so we are just trying to get those things done, just checking off the list one thing at a time.”
Originally from Arkansas, Duggar moved to Texas after marrying Vuolo, 36, in 2017. The couple later relocated to Los Angeles, where their new home is located.
On their podcast, Vuolo praised Duggar for her exceptional moving skills, saying, “You’ve done so much work on these projects, and you’re good at getting settled into a house well.”
Duggar humbly responded, “I look around and I’m like, ‘We still have boxes in our storage area that need to be unpacked, put away.’ But, for the most part, we have the basics out, and everything that we need.”
One area that still requires attention is the kitchen, which Duggar described as “still not done.” She explained, “Our countertops right now have just wood on them, and we’re waiting for the quartz to be put in. The fabricator said he got sick and he pushed back some days. Hopefully, he’ll start working again in maybe a couple of days. We’ll get those in, and then we’ll get a kitchen sink in, ’cause we have a sink in, [but] we just don’t have the faucet on yet.”
As a result, the couple is currently eating all their meals on paper plates, as it’s difficult to wash dishes without a sink faucet. Vuolo noted, “It’s amazing, it’s kind of like health where you take your health for granted until you get the flu or you get a cold. Then you realize, ‘Oh, man, I really take it for granted when I wake up [feeling] healthy, invigorated. Same thing with the kitchen because I didn’t realize [that it’s always there].”
Despite the challenges, Vuolo believes that the various projects make their new home “cool.” He said, “It’s kind of like, ‘Oh, wow, this is a really cool house.'”
