**RuPaul’s Drag Race Star Morphine Love Dion Survives Fatal LA Car Accident**
Morphine Love Dion, a contestant on season 16 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, was involved in a devastating car accident in Los Angeles early Sunday morning, leaving one person dead and five others injured.
The crash occurred on the 10 freeway in the Jefferson Park area, according to reports. Morphine was riding in an Uber at the time of the accident, which resulted in multiple injuries.
A statement posted on Morphine’s Instagram account on Monday afternoon revealed that she suffered multiple injuries but is “grateful to be alive.” The post asked for fans to keep her in their thoughts and prayers as she focuses on her recovery.
Fellow Drag Race star Kaos, who was also a passenger in the Uber, took to Instagram to update fans on her status. Kaos, who uses they/them pronouns, announced that they are okay and have been on bed rest since the accident.
The crash was a result of a one-vehicle collision, which eventually led to a domino effect, causing multiple cars to pile up. One person was trapped inside a vehicle and tragically lost their life.
Morphine, who placed fifth on the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, has received an outpouring of support from her costars and fans on social media. Xunami Muse and Geneva Karr, her season 16 costars, reacted to the incident on social media, expressing their relief that Morphine and everyone else involved are recovering.

Meanwhile, Geneva reposted Morphine’s statement, revealing Morphine underwent multiple surgeries, as she added: ‘Surgeries went well and now to a speedy recovery, love you hermana.’
