Brooke Eden is reflecting on her and Hilary Hoover‘s wedding day, an occasion made even more special by the involvement of country music icons and husband-wife duo, Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks. Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly at the CMA Fest, Eden shared her awe at having Yearwood and Brooks play such pivotal roles in her wedding.
“It was absolutely insane,” Eden gushed. She went on to explain how supportive Yearwood and Brooks have been of both her and Hoover, not just of their relationship but also of their individual careers. The country singer then recounted how Yearwood offered to help with their wedding after they performed together at the Grand Ole Opry in 2021, with Eden and Hoover having just gotten engaged.
Eden fondly recalled Yearwood’s enthusiasm, offering to be a flower girl, a bridesmaid, or even to officiate the ceremony. And, of course, she joked about preparing her famous chicken, showcasing her culinary skills. Ultimately, Yearwood ended up officiating the wedding, and the story gets even better.
Eden shared how, while discussing their vision for the ceremony with Yearwood at her house, Brooks walked in, and they seized the opportunity. They asked him to sing them down the aisle, and he readily accepted, even asking them to choose the song. They selected “To Make You Feel My Love,” and the rest is history.
Eden and Hoover had two wedding ceremonies in 2022. The first was an intimate gathering in Nashville attended by close friends and family, including Yearwood and Brooks. The second was a larger celebration at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, with 140 guests in attendance.
As Eden and Hoover navigate their journey as a couple, they are also eagerly anticipating the next step: parenthood. Both having undergone IVF treatment, Hoover is now pregnant, and Eden shared how this experience has brought them even closer together. She expressed her excitement and admitted that her “mama bear” instincts are already kicking in.
