Former NFL star Antonio Brown has voiced his support for Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, even offering to organize the inauguration ceremony if Trump wins a second term.
Brown, a retired wide receiver who helped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win the Super Bowl in 2021, praised Trump for his business acumen and family background. He also expressed his admiration for Trump’s father, Fred Trump.
“I’ll endorse Trump,” Brown said. “I’ve never met him, but I admire his business moves and I’ve studied his dad, Fred Trump. I think Donald Trump is a good businessman, he comes from a good family, and he’s been a good president.”
Brown went on to say, “You know he likes black people running campaigns, preferably football players. So, Donald Trump, you heard it right here from AB: inauguration, send me my bag or whatever.”
The 35-year-old has stayed in the headlines even after his retirement from the NFL due to financial issues and controversial social media outbursts, often targeting public figures like Caitlin Clark and Tom Brady.
‘I think Donald Trump is a good businessman and he’s been a good president,’ said Brown.
Brown also called on Trump to help free rapper Young Thug, who is currently facing racketeering charges, just as Trump pardoned or commuted the sentences of other rappers like Lil Wayne and Kodak during his presidency.
“I’m hoping he can do something for Young Thug,” Brown added. “So, Trump, if you’re watching this, we need to free Young Thug. If you could help out.”
Brown played a key role in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl victory in 2021.
Brown’s endorsement of Trump comes as America prepares for a highly contested election between Trump and the incumbent, Joe Biden.
