City Boss Fueling Speculation: Will He Stay or Go?

Pep Guardiola Refuses to Rule Out Signing a Contract Extension at Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that he is open to signing a contract extension with the club, despite being in the final year of his current deal.

Guardiola, who has been at the helm of Manchester City since 2016, has led the team to numerous successes, including four Premier League titles and two FA Cups. However, his future at the club has been uncertain, with some reports suggesting that this season could be his last.

In a recent interview, Guardiola admitted that he has spoken with the club’s hierarchy about his future and has not ruled out the possibility of signing a contract extension. “We spoke with the club and said it’s a lot of years, so we will see what will happen, but I am not ruling out absolutely to extend the contract,” he said.

Guardiola also expressed his desire to stay at the club, citing his love for the team and the players. “I want to be sure it’s the right decision, not just for me but for the club, the right decision for the players,” he added.

The City boss also confirmed that he wants to lead the team at the Club World Cup in America next June, should they qualify.

Meanwhile, there are still question marks over the future of Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, who has been linked with a summer move to Saudi Arabia. Guardiola expressed his desire for Ederson to stay at the club, saying, “I wish from the bottom of my heart that Eddie continues with us, replacing Eddie is so difficult.”

With Guardiola’s future at the club still uncertain, Manchester City fans will be eagerly waiting to see what the future holds for their beloved manager and team.
