Speculation about the future of Travis Kelce’s career has intensified as the star tight end advances in his football years.
At 34, the Kansas City Chiefs stalwart has crafted one of the most illustrious careers at his position in NFL history.
And Kelce intends to prolong his career for as long as possible, performing at the pinnacle of the sport.
According to The Athletic, Kelce asserted that he intends to play “until the wheels fall off.”
“Hopefully, that doesn’t happen anytime soon,” the elite tight end added on Tuesday.

The Chiefs tight end recently secured a substantial pay raise, making him the highest-paid TE in the NFL
“I really can’t put a timeframe on [retirement],” Kelce continued. “I genuinely enjoy coming to work every day.”
“Of course, I’m aware of the opportunities that await me outside of football. But when I enter this building, I still feel like a kid, even though I’m 34 years old. I have a passion for what I do, and I love coming to work every day.”
Kelce was instrumental in guiding Kansas City to their second consecutive Super Bowl championship, which culminated in a substantial financial windfall for him.
He signed a lucrative two-year contract in April, becoming the highest-paid tight end in the league, with $17 million fully guaranteed for the upcoming season.
During the regular season last year, Kelce amassed 93 receptions for 984 yards, and in the playoffs, he added 32 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns.
Additionally, Kelce has risen to prominence alongside his brother, Jason, through their popular podcast, ‘New Heights.’ An episode of the podcast will be recorded at the upcoming Cannes Festival this summer.
