Travis Kelce’s golf game took an unexpected turn during the 35th annual American Century Celebrity Golf Championship. The athlete’s ball veered off-course, resulting in a few close calls and unfortunate incidents with spectators.
On Friday, July 12, in Lake Tahoe, California, Kelce accidentally made contact with not one but two fans. In one instance, a woman was hit in the back of the head, causing her to sit down on the ground. Showing concern, Kelce approached the woman and offered a comforting gesture by taking a photo with her. Paramedics were quick to arrive and provide assistance.
Displaying his lighthearted side, Kelce joked with the crowd, encouraging them to move to a safer distance. In another incident, Kelce’s ball struck a male fan, leading to a humorous exchange. The athlete apologized and offered an impromptu shoulder kiss, much to the delight of the fan and the surrounding crowd.

The following day, Saturday, July 13, didn’t start on a much better note for Kelce’s golf game. As he teed off, he couldn’t hide his disappointment, exclaiming, “Oh no.”
However, a supportive fan shouted words of encouragement, reminding Kelce, “You still got Taylor [Swift]!” Kelce acknowledged the comment with a grateful point and reply, showing his appreciation for the reminder of his superstar partner.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship has captivated the public. It all began in July 2023 when Kelce revealed his interest in Swift after attending her Eras Tour. Their romance became public knowledge in September when Swift attended one of Kelce’s NFL games.
Prior to the charity event, Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, poked fun at the possibility of wayward golf balls during their “New Heights” podcast. Travis lightheartedly advised his brother not to feel guilty if he accidentally hit anyone, assuring him that spectators were aware of the risks and that emergency services were on standby.
Despite the minor setbacks, Kelce maintained a positive attitude and a sense of humor throughout the tournament.
