Brentford are pushing to sign Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg from Liverpool, with the 22-year-old attracting interest from across Europe.

Van den Berg, who has never made a Premier League appearance, has caught the attention of top clubs like Bayer Leverkusen, PSV, Wolfsburg, and Hoffenheim. Liverpool recently rejected a bid from PSV, valuing him closer to £20m.

The young defender arrived at Anfield in 2019, having impressed at PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie. Liverpool paid an initial fee of £1.3m for the defender, who can play both centrally and on the right flank.

Van den Berg has spent the last four seasons on loan, including two spells at Preston, a stint at Schalke, and most recently at Mainz last season.
