Ben Affleck was spotted with a strained expression as he reunited with his wife, Jennifer Lopez, on Wednesday morning. The couple, who are reportedly living apart and will soon announce their split, gathered in Los Angeles for the graduation of their 12-year-old son, Samuel.

Affleck, 51, wore his wedding ring and was accompanied by his mother, Chris Anne Boldt, as he arrived with a somber demeanor. He was dressed in a dark blue jacket, vest, and slacks, paired with a white shirt and no tie.

On the other hand, Jennifer, 54, who was spotted shopping the day before, arrived with her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme. She exuded elegance in an ivory mini dress, clear and beige-toed high heels, and an Hermes purse. The Atlas star appeared to be in high spirits, flashing a smile and sporting her wedding rings.

Also in attendance was Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, 52, with whom he shares Samuel, as well as Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15, who now goes by Fin.

Her blonde hair was pulled back, revealing her radiant makeup, and she completed her look with ombre pink and purple butterfly sunglasses and diamond earrings.

The movie icon, known for her recent work in Kiss Of The Spider Woman, couldn’t hide her joy and was all smiles throughout the event.

Daughter Emme opted for a sophisticated ensemble, donning a beige button-up shirt with a pointy collar tucked into dark belted slacks and paired with sneakers.

Max kept it casual yet stylish in a white short-sleeved shirt, khaki slacks, and a beige cap and glasses. His summer look was completed with Nike high-top sneakers, an earbud case on a RAMEN leash, and a cell phone.

Garner, in high spirits, stepped out of her car at the valet stand. The Alias actress donned a dark, ankle-length summer dress with wide straps, paired with a brown hat adorned with a tribal print ribbon and her hair flowing down.

She accessorized with black sandals featuring a top stitch and gold heels, a quilted black purse, and black sunglasses.

Fin, with short hair, followed closely behind Garner. They wore a printed shirt, dark slacks, and carried a jacket, cell phone, and a book.

Lopez exuded elegance in an off-white dress, accompanied by her twins, Max and Emme, 16.

Her blonde hair was pulled back, and she wore pale pink makeup with diamond earrings.

Her left hand, adorned with her wedding rings from Affleck, was not visible, but she later flashed the baubles.

Daughter Emme opted for a sophisticated ensemble, pairing a beige button-up shirt with dark belted slacks and sneakers.

Jennifer was greeted by a woman in a blue dress and black ballet flats.

Interestingly, while Lopez, Affleck, and Garner were not pictured together, they must have been in close proximity inside the graduation ceremony as their children came together.

As the Bronx native left the event, her carefree demeanor seemed to fade. Affleck, too, appeared slightly on edge, clutching an almost empty iced coffee.

The day prior, Affleck met with Garner, who warmly embraced his mother. During this encounter, Affleck appeared carefree and smiled.

It is believed that Affleck last met with JLo on Sunday, where they held a four-hour meeting at their $60 million Bel Air mansion, which they are reportedly planning to sell.

Affleck currently resides in a $10,000-a-month rental near Garner, while Lopez is believed to be staying at the mega-mansion with her children.

On Wednesday, DailyMail.com reported that Affleck has allegedly resumed drinking amid his strained relationship with Jennifer.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, friends of the actor revealed that Affleck, who has struggled with alcoholism and a gambling addiction for decades, is experiencing ‘acute sadness’ as his marriage falls apart.

They claim that Affleck is either ‘at risk’ of relapsing or has already returned to drinking.

The Argo star proudly displayed his gold wedding band from Jennifer on his wedding hand.

One source stated, ‘I hear that he is drinking. He is full of demons—a truly troubled individual.’

Another added, ‘I have seen him looking glassy-eyed, and it is a real concern for everyone who cares about him.’

Affleck’s representatives did not respond to requests for comment.

This revelation comes as insiders close to J.Lo also disclose that her mother, Guadalupe Rodriguez, has now ‘turned against’ Affleck, despite initially encouraging her daughter to rekindle the ‘Bennifer’ romance in 2022.

It is understood that J.Lo’s manager, Benny Medina, also ‘openly dislikes’ Affleck.

A source shared, ‘I understand that he has checked out of the marriage, but she has yet to accept the truth of the situation and believes that with therapy, they might make it.’

‘The situation is made even more difficult by the fact that we are dealing with the emotions of the five children they have between them,’ the source continued. ‘The reasons why it hasn’t worked out are numerous, but when you lose J.Lo’s family, you lose J.Lo. Her mom and sisters are against him, and Benny [Medina] is as well.’

J.Lo has also recently rekindled her friendship with actress Leah Remini. The pair reportedly fell out in 2022 when Remini told J.Lo that Affleck wasn’t fully committed to the relationship and would eventually hurt her.

As the Bronx native left the graduation ceremony, her carefree demeanor seemed to fade, while Affleck appeared slightly on edge.

Lopez kept her head lowered as she followed her son, Max, out onto the sidewalk.

The star still wore her wedding rings, but her expression turned cranky after the family event.

Affleck first quit drinking in 1997, sharing, ‘I just wanted to stop. I started regretting some things I did when I was drunk. It’s funny to be obnoxious or out of control, but then it’s like, “I think I hurt that person’s feelings,” “I made a fool of myself,” or “I didn’t want to kiss that girl.” I have almost no inhibitions, so it’s dangerous for me.’

He sought treatment for alcoholism in 2001 and again in 2017 and 2018. However, in 2019, he experienced a setback when he was photographed leaving a Halloween party intoxicated.

In 2020, he reflected on his struggles, saying, ‘People with compulsive behavior, and I am one, have this kind of basic discomfort all the time that they’re trying to make go away. You’re trying to make yourself feel better with eating or drinking or sex or gambling or shopping or whatever. But that ends up making your life worse.’

‘Then you do more of it to make that discomfort go away. Then the real pain starts. It becomes a vicious cycle you can’t break. That’s at least what happened to me,’ he added.
