McGregor, who suffered a broken leg in his last fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021, is set to make his Octagon comeback on June 29 at UFC 303, facing off against Michael Chandler.
In a collaborative effort between the Buccaneers and ESPN MMA, Mayfield and his teammates showcased their best McGregor impressions.
Mayfield kicked things off with a playful request for censorship before launching into his impression. “Who the heck is that guy?” he asked, mimicking McGregor’s distinctive Irish accent.

Mayfield’s impersonation referenced McGregor’s infamous exchange with Jeremy Stephens at the UFC 205 press conference back in 2016, where he uttered the now-famous line.
Joining in on the fun were KJ Britt, Chris Braswell, Rachaad White, and Jamel Dean, who also attempted to replicate McGregor’s distinctive accent. Meanwhile, Graham Barton, Antoine Winfield Jr., Yaya Diaby, Calijah Kancey, and Marcus Banks chose to emulate McGregor’s signature “Billionaire strut.”
Despite recent events casting some doubt on the McGregor-Chandler main event, the UFC pages still indicate that the fight is on.
The uncertainty surrounding the highly-anticipated matchup began when a June 1 press conference in Dublin was abruptly postponed at the last minute.
Following the cancelation, McGregor issued an apology to fans, citing a “series of obstacles beyond our control” as the reason for the presser’s last-minute cancellation.
During this period, the UFC temporarily paused its advertising campaign for UFC 303 on pay-per-view and removed the free Conor McGregor fights that had been posted to promote the event.

However, on June 8, the UFC resumed its promotional efforts for the fight, releasing an official promo for the UFC 303 main event across their YouTube and social media platforms, offering a glimmer of hope to eager fans.
