Liverpool Target Federico Chiesa Eyes Summer Move
Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has expressed his desire to join Liverpool before the transfer window closes. The 26-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Allianz Stadium, and the Reds are discussing a four-year contract with him.
Chiesa, who began his career at Fiorentina, has made over 150 appearances in all competitions for I Viola before joining Juventus on a two-year loan in 2020. Despite injuries hampering his involvement, he has won two Coppa Italias with the Turinese club.
Last season, Chiesa enjoyed the most prolific campaign of his time at Juventus, scoring nine times across 33 appearances in Serie A. He is also a regular feature for Italy, having been part of the side that defeated England at Wembley in the final of Euro 2020.
Liverpool have already finalized the signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili, making the Georgian goalkeeper the first new arrival of the new era. The club is exploring the possibility of adding more players before the deadline, and Chiesa’s potential move could be a significant boost to their squad.
