Trent Alexander-Arnold Rejoins Liverpool for Pre-Season Amid Real Madrid Speculation

Darwin Nunez Teases Teammate Over Transfer Rumors

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned to the AXA Training Centre for pre-season, amidst ongoing speculation about a potential move to Real Madrid. The English full-back, who has a year left on his contract, was one of six players to report back to training on Sunday.

Alexander-Arnold’s future has been the subject of intense speculation, with many linking him to a switch to the Bernabeu. His teammate, Darwin Nunez, couldn’t resist taking a dig at the rumors, jokingly asking Alexander-Arnold about his supposed interest in joining Real Madrid.

In a lighthearted moment captured on camera, Nunez teased Alexander-Arnold, saying “Y el Real Madrid? Chao!” which translates to “And Real Madrid? Bye!” The pair, along with Luis Diaz, were seen laughing together as they made their way to training.

Despite the transfer rumors, Liverpool is reportedly confident that Alexander-Arnold will sign a new deal and extend his stay at Anfield. New manager Arne Slot has expressed his desire to keep the talented right-back at the club.

Alexander-Arnold has been a key player for Liverpool, making 310 appearances and winning numerous titles, including the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup. His contract situation will be closely monitored, especially with the possibility of pre-contract agreements being made as early as January.

Alexander-Arnold’s friendship with Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Real Madrid, has also been subject to speculation. The pair were seen partying together in LA and enjoying a meal at Nobu Malibu, fueling rumors of a potential move.

Only time will tell if Alexander-Arnold will stay at Liverpool or make a move to Real Madrid. One thing is certain, however – his future will be closely watched by fans and pundits alike.
