Amigos of Johnny Wactor March for Answers

Mere weeks after the tragic death of soap opera star Johnny Wactor, his close friends united to organize a march through downtown Los Angeles, with the dual purpose of seeking justice for his killing and addressing the broader issues of anxiety and fear that plague the city’s residents.

The 37-year-old actor was leaving his shift at a bar in downtown Los Angeles when he encountered thieves attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter. In a courageous act of selflessness, Wactor shielded his female colleague from gunfire, ultimately losing his life in the early hours of May 25.

Micah Parker, a close friend of Wactor’s, took the initiative to arrange the march. He shared with TMZ the twofold purpose behind their efforts: “First, we want to keep the spotlight on Johnny’s case so that there’s relentless pressure on the authorities until his killers are caught and brought to justice. They are still out there, and we won’t rest until they are held accountable.”

Friends and loved ones of Johnny Wactor organized a march in downtown Los Angeles to seek justice for his tragic killing and address broader issues of public safety.

Micah Parker, a close friend of Johnny Wactor, shared the motivation behind organizing the march with TMZ.

Parker went on to explain the second purpose of the march: “We also want to draw attention to the broader problem that led to Johnny’s killing. There’s an underlying sense of anxiety and fear in Los Angeles, where people are unsure if they’ll become the next victim of senseless violence. We wanted to give a voice to these concerns and have them heard by City Hall.”

The turnout for the march was described as “incredible,” with participants chanting Wactor’s name as they walked through the streets. Parker reflected on the mix of emotions, noting that “in the midst of tragedy, we’ve seen the worst of humanity, but also the best.” He expressed gratitude to everyone who showed up to support the cause.

The tragic incident unfolded as Wactor was leaving his side job at a rooftop bar with a female colleague. Around 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, in the vicinity of West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street, he noticed three masked men near his vehicle. Mistakenly believing his truck was being towed, he approached the men to discuss the situation.

However, the encounter took a deadly turn when one of the men pulled out a gun and pointed it at Wactor. Demonstrating remarkable bravery, he positioned himself in front of his female co-worker, using his body as a shield. Unfortunately, he was shot, and the assailants fled the scene in another car. Wactor was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Johnny Wactor’s younger brother, Grant, confirmed the tragic news to DailyMail.com. He shared that it didn’t come as a surprise to him that his brother’s final act was one of selflessness and courage. Raised as a “southern gentleman,” Grant explained that they were taught never to let a woman walk to her car alone.

'We will not rest until justice is served,' Parker emphasized, reflecting the determination of Wactor's loved ones to see his killers apprehended.
