Aston Villa, West Ham, and Arsenal are tracking USA Under-20s international Rokas Pukstas, who has taken an unconventional career path.

The Oklahoma-born midfielder plays for Hajduk Split and has been making waves in the football world.

Pukstas started out at Sporting Kansas City’s academy before having a trial with Manchester United in 2019, followed by a stint with Barcelona’s academy.

He joined Hajduk Split in 2020 and has since become a first-team regular, playing an integral part in the side that won the Croatia Cup last year.

The son of a former Olympic marathon runner, Pukstas has also been approached to represent Lithuania.

Rokas Pukstas is being tracked by Premier League clubs Arsenal, Aston Villa and West Ham

European clubs, particularly those from Germany, have taken notice of his performances, alongside scouts from Premier League trio Villa, West Ham, and Arsenal.

Hajduk Split are expecting offers this summer, with the youngster eager to take the next step up in his career.

Pukstas has recently joined the Niagara agency, which represents top players like Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Red Bull Leipzig’s Dani Olmo, a summer target for Bayern Munich.

As Pukstas continues to impress, it remains to be seen which top club will snap him up first.
