Sienna Miller first encountered actor Oli Green at a Halloween party hosted by mutual friends, but sparks didn’t fly immediately.

“It was so absurd. I thought, ‘This isn’t going anywhere,'” she confessed to British Vogue in December 2023. Green, however, was persistent and eventually persuaded her to go out with him.

Miller had previously been in an on-again-off-again relationship with Jude Law from 2004 to 2011. She then dated Tom Sturridge from 2011 to 2015, and they welcomed a daughter, Marlowe, in July 2012.

As Miller and Green’s connection grew, Emily Blunt joined them on one of their early dates in New York City in early 2022. Blunt shared with British Vogue that she sees a lot of her longtime friend in Green, particularly “that free-spirited, curious, and innocent quality he possesses.”

Miller graced the cover of British Vogue at 28 weeks pregnant and opened up about her relationship with Green. At the time, the couple had recently moved into their own place after living with Green’s parents in West London.

“Matters of the heart can’t be controlled,” she said, addressing their 14-year age gap. “I’ve never been able to.”

Miller recalled being surprised by Green’s age when they met. “I didn’t set out to find a younger boyfriend,” she said. “It was more like, ‘Damn! Why are you so young? That’s so annoying.'”

Looking back, Miller believes their 14-year age gap has been beneficial. “There is a difference in how that generation of men respect women,” she added. “It’s specific to him; he’s very wise and well-adjusted. But I do think it’s also about that generation. They’ve grown up with a more level playing field. I see it in his female friends as well as in the men.”
