Jessica Simpson has spoken out to deny claims that she has returned to drinking.
The 44-year-old singer and entrepreneur responded to a comment on her recent Instagram post, in which she had shared a sweet message for her 11-year-old son Ace.
When a fan suggested that she should “stop drinking”, Simpson replied, “I haven’t wanted or touched alcohol since October 2017, and it has been the best decision I’ve made for myself and for my family.”

Simpson, who has been open about her struggles with addiction in the past, went on to thank the concerned fan and sent them love.
In her original post, Simpson had gushed about her son Ace, saying that he is the “kindest, most handsome 11-year-old son on the planet”. She also shared a fun fact about their shared love of scratch-off lottery tickets.

Simpson, who has been married to Eric Johnson since 2014, shares three children with him: Maxwell, 12, Ace, and Birdie, five.

In her memoir Open Book, Simpson revealed that she struggled with addiction and eventually got sober in 2017.
Simpson has been focused on her business ventures, including her Jessica Simpson Collection, and has also been working on new music in Nashville.
She has plans to release a new album and go on tour this year.
