Pukstas started out at Sporting Kansas City’s academy before having a trial with Manchester United in 2019, followed by a stint with Barcelona’s academy.
He joined Hajduk Split in 2020 and has since become a first-team regular, playing an integral part in the side that won the Croatia Cup last year.
The son of a former Olympic marathon runner, Pukstas has also been approached to represent Lithuania.
