Zac Efron’s fans can finally exhale – the actor is recovering well after a recent medical scare.
The 36-year-old High School Musical alum was rushed to a medical center on the island of Ibiza following a “minor swimming incident” at a villa on August 2.
According to his representative, Efron was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, but was released the following morning and is now doing fine.
Insiders close to the situation revealed that Efron had to be pulled out of the pool by two workers, suggesting that the incident was more serious than initially let on.
Fortunately, the actor is now on the mend and was even spotted making an appearance on stage with DJ Martin Garrix during his performance at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club in the Spanish city.
Efron has been living it up in recent weeks, with stops in St. Tropez, Mykonos, and Paris, making us all green with envy.
And not just because of his chiseled physique or captivating smile.
This isn’t the first time Efron has faced health concerns – in 2013, he suffered an accident at his home that resulted in a broken jaw.
Recently, the actor attended the Opening Ceremony at the 2024 Olympics in Paris and paid tribute to gymnastics icon Simone Biles after she won a Gold Medal in the women’s team all-around finale, writing on his Instagram Story:
“So incredibly proud of you @simonebiles.”
We’re all breathing a sigh of relief that Efron was not seriously injured in this incident, and we’re sending him our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
