Luann De Lesseps Shares Her Take on RHONJ’s Reboot
Mixing Old with New is the Key to Success
And She’s Not Holding Back on Her Bethenny Beef
Luann De Lesseps, a veteran of “The Real Housewives of New York,” has some sage advice for the producers of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” as they embark on a major reboot of the show.
We caught up with Luann in Los Angeles, where she’s currently touring with her “Countess Cabaret” show, and asked her about the challenges facing “RHONJ” in the wake of low ratings and controversy.
Luann believes that the key to success lies in striking a balance between old and new cast members. By mixing the original cast with fresh faces, the show can create a dynamic that’s both familiar and exciting.
When we pressed Luann to name names and suggest who should stay and who should go, she diplomatically declined, saying she’s too focused on her own projects to get involved in Bravo’s decision-making process.
Luann also hinted that she’s not opposed to returning to the “Real Housewives” franchise in some capacity, although she’s currently focused on her new dating show.
In case you’ve been missing out on the drama, “RHONJ” has been plagued by conflicts and physical fights, which have become a regular feature of the show. The tension has become so intense that the cast is refusing to film a reunion, a unprecedented move in the Bravo universe.
We also asked Luann about her long-standing feud with fellow “RHONY” cast member Bethenny Frankel, and her response is definitely worth a listen.
In Luann’s opinion, the key to success lies in embracing the old while introducing the new, rather than trying to replace one with the other.
