John Owen Lowe, the 28-year-old son of Rob Lowe, has seemingly shut down rumors of a romantic relationship with Lucy Hale, just over a month after the two sparked dating speculation.
The rumors began when Lowe and Hale, 35, were spotted leaving a restaurant in Studio City together. However, just days later, Hale was seen on a dinner date with producer David Bernard, casting doubt on the rumored romance.
During an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Lowe was asked about the rumors, and he responded cryptically, saying, “Oh my God. I think you can go to Erewhon with someone and get photographed and things can blow out of proportion, that’s all I’ll say.”

The speculation surrounding Lowe and Hale’s relationship dates back to April, when Lowe celebrated his sixth year of sobriety on Instagram. Hale, who has been open about her own sobriety journey, commented on the post, calling Lowe “amazing” and a “bright & shiny human.”
Hale has spoken candidly about her struggles with addiction, revealing that she first started drinking at the age of 12 or 13. She didn’t realize she had a problem until her 20s, and attended rehab for the first time at 23 while starring on Pretty Little Liars.
