**Erik ten Hag Confident Marcus Rashford Can Regain Top Form**
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag believes that Marcus Rashford can rediscover his scoring touch and become a 30-goal striker again. The 26-year-old forward had a dismal season, scoring just eight goals across all competitions, but Ten Hag is convinced that Rashford has the potential to bounce back.
Rashford’s form has been a concern for Manchester United, and the club would consider offers for the player if a big bid comes in this summer. However, it’s unlikely that Rashford will leave his hometown club. Instead, Ten Hag is focused on getting the best out of the England forward, who missed out on a place in the Euro 2024 squad after his below-par season.
To help Rashford regain his form, Ten Hag has brought in former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy as assistant manager. Van Nistelrooy’s experience as a prolific goal-scorer could be invaluable in helping Rashford overcome his scoring drought.

Ten Hag is confident that Rashford can replicate his form from two seasons ago, when he scored 30 goals. “He is capable, he scores so many goals, already at a relatively young age, he is capable of it,” Ten Hag said. “So I am confident, 100 per cent belief, he can do the same as two years ago.”
The Manchester United manager also backed Mason Mount, who struggled with form and fitness after his £60m move from Chelsea. “You can’t judge a season because he was injured,” Ten Hag said. “So don’t judge him because he was injured, but when he is fit he will be a very good player.”
Ten Hag also addressed the situations of Jadon Sancho and Antony, who both had difficult seasons amid off-the-field allegations. “For every individual, it’s different,” he said. “No-one has the same background but it’s clear we want to win and both of them are very good players.”
The manager reiterated his desire to draw a line under the uncertainty surrounding his future this summer. Despite co-owners Ineos interviewing potential replacements, Ten Hag was handed a one-year contract extension.

“We are now in a new season,” Ten Hag said. “We left everything behind, we are looking forward. It’s a great project. The process is nice. We go with ups and downs and now we are very energised. There is a good dynamic, a good spirit and we are looking forward. We want to work and we want to win.”
