Hailey Bieber, the 27-year-old supermodel, has distanced herself from her famous Baldwin clan as she prepares to start a family with her husband, Justin Bieber.
In a recent interview with W magazine, Hailey revealed that she is no longer as close to her birth family as she expects to become a mother soon.
As the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and designer Kennya Deodato Baldwin, Hailey has famous relatives, including her uncle Alec Baldwin, who is starring in a new reality TV show with his wife Hilaria.
However, Hailey mentioned that she doesn’t see much of her family these days, stating, “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”

Despite the distance, Hailey expressed fond memories of her childhood, saying, “I had a fairly normal childhood. Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different.”
Hailey also reflected on her early modeling career, which started when she was a teenager. She mentioned that she had to learn to be independent and self-sufficient, stating, “I started traveling the world, making my own money. I got my own apartment and had to learn how to live on my own and pay bills. That pushed me into adulthood kind of quickly, when most of my friends were just leaving for college.”
As Hailey prepares for motherhood, she and Justin are savoring their time together before the arrival of their little one. She expressed, “In the beginning [of pregnancy], it was super emotional for me. Like, ‘I love this human so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this?’ I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us.”
Hailey has faced criticism and negativity from the public, particularly regarding her relationship with Justin. She revealed that she has turned to therapy to deal with the barrage of negative comments and has learned to “compartmentalize.” Despite the hate, Hailey remains optimistic and focused on her future with Justin and their unborn child.
